Yuchi Chiu

Formerly with Refresh Dance Crew, Yuchi is excited to be performing with The Luna Troop. A graduate of Northwestern University, he now serves as a teacher on the south side of Chicago.

Rachel Elise

is very excited to be working with The Luna Troop for the first time. Rachel is an actor, singer, and avid swing dancer. She would like to say thank you to her family and friends for all of their love and support.

Clara Freeman

is thrilled to be back with the Luna Troop!  She started dancing with Luna in 2008, but was gone for four years for college and then rejoined last year.  Clara started performing when she was five years old at Le Ballet Petit and danced there for 13 years.  She also participated in a ballroom dance competition team at the University of Iowa.  Clara would like to thank the members of Luna Troop for being such a wonderful, fun-loving group to dance with!  She would also like to thank her family for supporting her throughout her dancing career.

Dash Heston

is an actor, dancer, and lighting designer excited to be joining The Luna Troop for his 8th year! He is currently attending Senn Performing Arts High School and is excited to be joining ATC. He has been on stage since he was 4 years old and is excited to participate in Chicago Artist’s Month.

Jennifer Lazarevic

is excited to be performing with the Luna Troop this season. She has been dancing for many years including in performances at Winona State University, Minnesota Conservatory of the Arts and as an alumnus of the Des Plaines School of Dance. She received her Masters of Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago in the spring of 2014 and is now working as the program manager of festivals and workshops for Chicago Human Rhythm Project. She would like to thank Sarah for this opportunity and her family and friends for all of their support.

Isaac Loomer

is thrilled to be in this place with such a talented group of performers. Mostly a child of musical theatre he is excited to be doing more dance. He got his degree from MN State, Mankato where he trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, and a small amount of Afro-Caribbean. He would like to thank all of the Heston clan for putting this event together but especially to Sarah for pushing him harder than he has been in a long time. Shout out to his families; the ones he was born into and the family he created on his own. Thank you to Mealah for always being there with a hug, smile, or 5 hour energy. Finally, thank you to theatre for providing my place in the world.

Sam Luchsinger

likes ice cream and dancing. She would like to thank everyone in the Luna Troop for putting their hearts into the show.

Mia Peric

is excited to dancing with Luna Troop.  Mia has been studying Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop at Le Ballet Petit since the age of three. At the age of three she also started Serbian folk dance. Mia has been acting in school plays and also was part of a movie since the age of eight. She is currently attending Lane Technical College Prep HighSchool. This is her first year with Luna Troop.

Joshua A. Peterson

is thrilled to be working with the Luna Troop! He has performed and worked with Metropolis Theatre, Circle Theatre, Hell in a Handbag Productions, and Freemont Street Theatre. He has also worked around the country with Utah Shakespeare Festival, Le Petite Theatre du Vieux Carre, and Jackson Hole Playhouse. His favorite productions are “The Drowsy Chaperone”, “All Shook Up”, “Thrill Me”,”Reefer Madness”, and most recently Dan Savages’ “Miracle” and Monty Python’s “Spamalot”. You can also find Josh performing in the south loop as a 1920’s gangster throughout the year at Tommy Gun’s Garage! He would like to thank all the talented dancers in Luna and Sarah for simply being amazing, it has been such a wonderful time!

Maren Robinson

is delighted to be dancing with Luna Troop again.She trained in classical ballet at American Festival Ballet and as an undergraduate danced and choreographed with the Montana State University Repertory Dance Company where she also created a movement outreach program for the developmentally disabled. She performed modern dance for several seasons at the Sweet Pea Festival of Arts in Bozeman, Montana. Maren has performed with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks.  She has also done site-specific dance performances with Summer is for Fireflies.  She has been an actor or dramaturg for numerous Chicago theater companies including:TimeLine where she is a company member and Lifeline where she is an ensemble member. She would like to thank Sarah for giving her the opportunity to dance again and her husband Rom for his support.

Sarah Heston

Founder & Artistic Director

received her B.A. in modern dance and choreography from Simon’s Rock College and is a certified yoga instructor through the Temple of Kriya Yoga. Sarah founded the Luna Troop 20 years ago.She has worked as a movement specialist and/or choreographer in several national and local performance events. Sarah can be found teaching dance at Rogers Park High School and Le Ballet Petit. She is also an ensemble member of Beast Women.
